GASP workshop in Italy - 2007


Gianni Bolongaro, GASP's collaborator in La Spezia, discusses the La Marrana collection with Jess Hewitt and Pierce Warnecke. Jess had just arrived from Boston and had not slept for 48 hours due to flight delays.

Pierce Warnecke spent two years working at GASP as an artist, curator and producer. In this photo Pierce is recording 5.1 audio installations in Chiesa San Lorenzo, Portovenere.

Over the summer GASP partnered with Berklee College of Music to hold a workshop in Sonic Arts for graduates of the Music Synthesis Program. Attendees included Anthony Baldino (not shown), Jess Hewitt, Pierce Warnecke. Other GASP sponsors included the Sguardi Sonori Festival of Media Art, La Marrana and the Italian Airforce who provided accomodations!
